PSG expected to move for Paul Pogba; to sell three players and raise funds
According to transfer news from Sky Sports, PSG are expected to formalise their interest in Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba soon. To do so, they are looking to offload three of their first-team stars. The French club are yet to make an offer for him but that is expected to change soon.
Pogba will be free to talk to other clubs over a free transfer from January 2022 given his current deal is in the final year. That means United are severely low on their options and selling him in this transfer window is one of them. The other option would be to keep him for the remainder of this season and hope that a new deal can be agreed upon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remained a bit optimistic that the latter option will come to fruition but the player has given no such hint. PSG have shown the most interest in the Frenchman. They are also one of the few clubs that can offer United a decent fee for him and match his high wages.
It needs to be noted that PSG have yet to make an offer for Pogba to United. That could change soon though. Due to PSG already signing four players in this transfer window, they will now need to sell players if they want to bring Pogba. They are looking to offload Ander Herrera, Sergio Rico and Alphonse Areola in a bid to raise cash.
