The 24-year-old had an explosive season in Serie A last time around. The dynamic box-to-box midfielder appeared in 37 league games and produced a tally of 13 goals and 6 assists from midfield. He was certainly one of the major reasons behind Milan’s charge for the Scudetto. They finished 2nd in the table, 12 points behind leaders and rivals Inter Milan.
Kessie has also been in a contract standoff with Milan. The midfielder wants a €6m per season offer from the club after his carer best season with the club or €5.5m-a-year plus achievable bonuses. His contract situation had attracted the likes of United, City and Liverpool.
However, United and all the others might not get their man. Milan are scheduled to have talks with Kessie and his agent George Atangana over a new deal. The player is also said to be keen on staying at the club which will be decisive in the meeting.
