Romano: Manchester United and Real Madrid very close to a deal for Raphael Varane
According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal for Raphael Varane to Manchester United is all clear. Romano gave his trademark ‘here we go’ as Real Madrid and Manchester United are close to agreeing upon a deal for him. Only minute details are left but personal terms have already been agreed upon.
It has been a pivotal last few days in United’s chase for Varane. Given the deal was dragging on for a while, there were obvious possibilities that it could collapse spectacularly. Varane also returned to Real Madrid training after his holidays putting some more questions as to whether he will be making any move at all.
However, it was clear from the off that he wanted to move out but did not wish to sever relations with the club in trying to force any sort of move away.
Now, in a huge bit of development from this saga, it would seem that Varane will be heading to United after all. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that it is a ‘here-we-go’. United and Real are close to an agreement and it could be a matter of hours or days as the finer points of the deal are ironed out. Varane has totally agreed to personal terms with United as well.
