Manchester United target Eduardo Camavinga prefers a move to Spain
According to transfer news from MEN, Manchester United target Eduardo Camavinga prefers a move to Spain. There have been discussions over a move between the club and the player’s representatives but those have proved to be less than fruitful.
Signing his first professional contract in 2018, Camavinga became the youngest player ever to do so with Rennes. He made his debut for the first-team in April 2019 against Angers and scored his first goal for the club against Lyon in December 2019. So far, Camavinga has made 82 appearances for Rennes, scoring twice and assisting five in the process (h/t Transfermarkt).
Manchester United are looking to add a new midfielder to the side as the current options apart from Fernandes and Pogba leave a lot to be desired. A natural central midfielder, Camavinga can also be used deeper in a defensive role. The problem for Rennes is that his contract ends in a year and they either have to sell him now or lose him for free in 2022.
As United try to sign Camavinga, their efforts could hit a snag. Talks have taken place between United and the player’s entourage and they have not been encouraging. It seems as if the talented starlet prefers a move to Spain. However, neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona have shown signs of going after Camavinga.

It might be discouraging that Camavinga prefers a move to Spain. However, United need not worry as those clubs are not actively after him. Manchester United will need to act fast now if they are to get their man.
