Transfer News: Manchester United take final decision on Alex Telles
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have let Roma know that they will not loan out Alex Telles. The 28-year-old Brazilian is still seen as an important part of the side by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite a reduced role in his first season.
The Brazilian arrived at Old Trafford last season amid much fanfare to compete with Luke Shaw. However, Shaw picked up his performances to such a degree that Telles was left warming the benches on most occasions. He featured only a handful of times when Shaw was unavailable or rested.
He was also left out of the Brazil squad for Copa America. That has led to speculation over his future in recent weeks. Roma were hoping to take advantage of his situation at the club. Our former manager Jose Mourinho wants the Brazilian on loan at his new club.
However, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed United have given their final verdict on this. United have rejected the offer and don’t want to send the player out on loan. They are happy with his performances from last season while accepting that he can perform better.

It would be harsh on Telles if he is allowed to leave even if it’s on a temporary deal. The former Porto man is a decent player to have in hand given there are over 50 games to play in a season. United are right to reject any such offers for Telles from Roma.
