Transfer News: Juventus to battle PSG for Manchester United star Paul Pogba

According to transfer news from IB Times, Manchester United star Paul Pogba could be the subject of a transfer tussle between Juventus and PSG. The French club were looking most interested in signing the World Cup winner but it would seem Pogba’s former club Juventus are looking to bring him back.

Manchester United are in a real spot of bother with Pogba’s situation. The midfielder is arguably hit peak form for both club and county with just one year left on his current deal. A stellar campaign for France in the Euros has only amped up the interest in the enigmatic French star.

Pogba to leave United this summer?

There are two ways for United to go about here. They can cash in on him now and take the fee to get a replacement. Or they can look to keep him in the hope that he signs an extension over the next season, thereby risking losing him for free.

With finances tight across Europe, not a lot of clubs have the money to spend on a player like Pogba. However, PSG are roaring in the transfer market with three signings already in the bag. They have also shown considerable interest in Pogba but will face competition from Pogba’s former side Juventus. Pogba is still sad to be considering his options and a decision could be reached soon.

Ideally, United would not want to lose their star man and tie him down to a new deal. However, they have to prepare for all possible outcomes and it would not be a surprise if the club asks for a rather sizable fee. Given the form he is in, it’s not entirely unrealistic to ask for a higher price.
