Transfer News: Manchester United not interested in loaning out Alex Telles
According to transfer news from reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are not keen on loaning out Alex Telles. Roma want the 28-year-old Brazilian on loan as cover for the injured Leonardo Spinazzola. However, a deal is now said to be complicated, with United not interested in a loan but Roma are likely to try again in the coming days.
The Brazilian arrived at Old Trafford last season to compete with Luke Shaw. However, Shaw improved so much that Telles was left warming the benches on most occasions. He featured only a handful of times when Shaw was unavailable or rested.
He was also left out of the Brazil squad for Copa America. That has led to speculation over his future in recent weeks. Our former manager, Jose Mourinho wants the Brazilian at Roma on loan. This is after Spinazzola had an Achilles tendon injury in the Euros.
Roma are eyeing up Telles as their new left-back to add some cover for Spinazzola who is expected to be out for a couple of months. However, as Romano claimed, United have no intention of sending Telles out on loan. The deal is considered ‘complicated’ currently. Roma are still likely to try again in the next few days.

It would be harsh on Telles if he is allowed to leave even if it’s on a temporary deal. The former Porto man is a decent player to have in hand given there are over 50 games to play in a season. United are right to reject any such offers for Telles from Roma.
