Manchester United fans react as Harry Maguire is named in the Euro 2020 XI
Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire has been named in the Euro 2020 XI of the tournament. The spectacle might have been a year late but it proved to be a great event for a month. Italy were crowned as champions as they edged out England in the final. Both sides gave it their all as the game went right down to the wire.
It was a tournament that showed how good the competition was, with so many of the smaller teams beating the big names. Denmark, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Switzerland went deep into the tournament. However, favourites such as France, Portugal and Germany failed to move past the initial knockouts.

As the tournament is wrapped up, UEFA have released their team of the Euro 2020. In goal, there is Gianluigi Donnaruma and ahead of him are Kyle Walker, Leonardo Bonucci, Harry Maguire and Leonardo Spinazzola.
The midfield trio includes Pedri, Jorginho and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Lastly, in a three-man attack, there is Federico Chiesa, Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling. There were certainly a lot of good omissions but one can’t argue that these 11 players did not deserve their places.
Manchester United fans were particularly ecstatic at Maguire’s inclusion. Our captain overcame injury problems to play a starring role in the knockout stages for England. The big defender even got on the scoresheet against Ukraine. He even converted his penalty in the final against Italy, which rendered the camera in goal useless.
