Transfer News: Manchester United star Alex Telles offered to AS Roma

According to transfer news from SportWitness, Manchester United star Alex Telles has been offered to AS Roma. New manager Jose Mourinho wants some cover for Leonardo Spinazzola and sees a loan deal for the Brazilian defender as a viable option.

Jose Mourinho has been hit hard before he could take charge of a game at his new job at Roma. The Portuguese gaffer will be without Leonardo Spinazzola after the Italian suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in the game against Belgium.

That leaves Mourinho with Riccardo Calafiori as the only other option at left-back. Due to this, he is looking at one of his former clubs to find replacements. One name that he is keen on and has been offered to Roma is that of Alex Telles.

The Brazilian arrived at Old Trafford last season to compete with Luke Shaw. However, Shaw improved so much that Telles was left warming the benches on most occasions. It has been said that an intermediary has held discussions with Mourinho and Roma about Telles. However, Roma would only be looking at a short loan deal until Spinazzola is back.

Manchester United star Alex Telles could be set to join Inter Milan on loan this summer.

It would be harsh on Telles if he is allowed to leave even if it’s on a temporary deal. The former Porto man is a decent player to have in hand given there are over 50 games to play in a season. United should avoid the mistake of offloading the former Porto man.
