Manchester United face PSG threat for both Eduardo Camavinga and Paul Pogba
According to Paris Fans, Manchester United face competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their efforts to sign Eduardo Camavinga or keep hold of Paul Pogba this summer.
The French giants finished second in Ligue 1 last season. They do not appear to have taken to it kindly and have been busy this summer. The likes of Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum will all line up for them next season.
They however do not appear to be done with their summer business. The Parisians are now keen to bring in either Camavinga or Pogba to the Parc des Princes.
This will bring them in direct contact with United. The Red Devils are also keeping tabs on Camavinga, while also seeking a way to resolve the circumstances surrounding Pogba. The latter has just a year left on his contract and United may have to cash in on him if he isn’t keen on penning an extension.
According to the report, Pogba is PSG’s priority thanks to him being in his prime and has the in big-time matches. The 28-year-old also impressed at the Euros despite France’s shock exit in the last 16.
While Camavinga has the potential to be a world-class player, he still has to develop and will add little to a team already stacked with quality from top to bottom. In Pogba they will get a player who can turn up the style and change the flow of the game when needed.
Whether losing Pogba will spur United on to land Camavinga themselves remains to be seen. The youngster also has just a year to go on his deal, giving us some leeway in negotiations. Having already signed Jadon Sancho, United could very well land themselves yet another European wonderkid in the same window.
