Transfer News: Manchester United could loan out David De Gea
According to transfer news from Daily Star, Manchester United are looking at the possibility of loaning out David De Gea. The Spaniard and Dean Henderson both want to be the first choice, meaning that one of them will have to make way. De Gea’s form for club and country means that he could be the one making way.
The big 30-year-old Spaniard has seemingly lost his undisputed No.1 spot in the side, with Dean Henderson unofficially the first choice between the sticks. The change of guard was visible last season with Henderson retaining his place in the league games and De Gea manning the posts in the midweek Europa League. Solskjaer’s happy headache was visible throughout the season.
However, neither wants to be the second choice from next season on. The problem for De Gea is that his form over the last three seasons at the club and national level has been shoddy at best. He also lost his starting place to Unai Simon in the Spain setup.
Now, United look like they prefer to offload De Gea instead of Henderson. However, with finances tight across, United will have to consider a loan deal for their highest earner. With United adding Tom Heaton and extending Lee Grant’s deal, there is a chance that one of the existing keepers are offloaded.

Harsh as it may seem but United will need to offload De Gea. He has not performed anywhere close to his best and made some glaring errors. Those have cost United time and again. He has been a totemic presence at the club but United will need to put their trust in Henderson from next season.
