Fabrizio Romano confirms that Jadon Sancho has his heart set on a move to Manchester United

According to the reliable journalist, Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Manchester United is closing in on finally securing the signature of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho this summer.

The Red Devils have been after the player for a while but now appear to be closer than ever to landing him. They have already informed the Germans that they are ready to make an €85m bid for the player.

This amount does however fall short of Dortmund’s €95m asking price. The Bundesliga giants are keen to have the amount guaranteed and it would appear an agreement regarding that is still to be reached.

According to Romano, add-ons will be a part of the negotiations as both teams look for a quick resolution. The player for his part has already made up his mind and is ready to move to Old Trafford.

It would appear that it is only the transfer fee and its structure that needs to be ironed out. With other factors going in our favour, the onus is now on United to get the deal over the line. Hopefully, we will get it done sooner rather than later.

According to The Guardian, Sancho has already agreed on personal terms on a five-year deal worth about £350,000-a-week. This will make him one of the best-paid players in the league.

The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of the 21-year-old English international. While an agreement is yet to be reached, there certainly appears to be a sense of optimism about our efforts this summer.
