Real Madrid enter the race for Manchester United target Pau Torres
According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Real Madrid have entered the race for Manchester United target Pau Torres. The Los Blancos are looking to replace Sergio Ramos, who is leaving the club after 16 years.
The 24-year-old is coming off an excellent season that ended with him helping them beat us in the Europa League final. Now with the Spanish squad for the Euros, Torres has seen his star rise in recent months.
Ramos, the talismanic Real Madrid captain will finally be leaving the club after more than a decade of winning trophies at the highest level. A new contract could not be agreed with the 35-year-old and will now leave the club as a free agent.
Pau Torres is the name they now want. The problem is the huge £43m price tag Villarreal have slapped on him. Real don’t have the money and might have to wait for another season to sign the Spaniard.
