Mendes’ performances have also earned him a spot in defending champions Portugal’s squad for this summer’s Euros. It represents an excellent chance for the teenager to take his game to a bigger audience.

Now, according to recent reports, the Sporting starlet has been destined for a big move after his exploits last season. Sporting also believe the same. As for the destinations he could go to, Manchester United have been mentioned there. Mendes has a release clause of €70m but Sporting are willing to accept around €50m.

More Manchester United News:

While United have shown interest in the player, there are a number of reasons that could prevent them from securing his signature this summer. With Luke Shaw and Alex Telles already at the club, it makes little sense for the Red Devils to go big on Mendes.
