Fans slam Manchester United after 2-4 loss to Liverpool at home
Manchester United lost their second game in 48 hours as they succumbed to a 2-4 defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Coming into the game on the back of a 1-2 loss to Leicester City on Tuesday, Manchester United made a good start against Liverpool with Bruno Fernandes opening the scoring just ten minutes in.
However, sloppiness and complacency seemed to kick in soon after as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men allowed Liverpool to grow into the game. The Reds eventually found an equaliser courtesy of a fine backheel flick from Diogo Jota.
On the cusp of half-time, Liverpool doubled their lead through Roberto Firmino, who made it 1-3 early in the second half after a defensive mishap. Manchester United tried to muster up a fightback as Marcus Rashford scored to make it 2-3 before Mason Greenwood had a goal cleared off the line.
As the Red Devils threw men forward, Mohamed Salah capitalised on a counter to make it 2-4 late in the game.
The fans were hardly pleased by the capitulation on the night, slamming the performance so close to the UEFA Europa League final. Here are some of the reactions from the supporters.

We're going to lose the EL final at this rate and come 3rd/4th. Absolutely disgraceful performance
