Transfer News: Manchester United to pursue Jude Bellingham instead of Jadon Sancho
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United will turn their attentions to Jude Bellingham instead of Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are set to switch their transfer targets at Borussia Dortmund, now going after Bellingham instead of long time target Sancho.
The 21-year-old Sancho has been Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s priority attacking target for 18 months now. Despite being after him for all the whole of last summer, the Red Devils ultimately had to back out given Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
While United have retained some level of interest in the winger even now, they could be switching their priorities to his English teammate at the club. United missed out on signing Jude Bellingham last year.
The 17-year-old chose to join Signal Iduna Park after being impressed by the progress made by English players such as Jadon Sancho.
Christian Falk of BILD suggests that United might not make a move for Sancho in the summer and they will instead go for Bellingham.
“At United at the moment, there is nothing at all on the Sancho interest; on the contrary, a move is not likely. The reason? Jude Bellingham. Dortmund themselves have the replacement for Sancho and would therefore already sell Sancho, and the English are now simply focussing on Bellingham instead.”

Going for Bellingham instead of Sancho may not entirely be a bad idea for Manchester United. However, the fact is that United also need a player like Sancho, who can fit in on the right flank. Nonetheless, it will be an interesting summer for United, who will look to add to their squad for next season.
