Transfer News: Real Madrid still interested in Manchester United star Paul Pogba
According to transfer news from Mirror, Real Madrid are still after Manchester United star Paul Pogba. The Blancos have kept their tabs on the midfielder for a while now, whose contract ends in 2022.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola created a storm last December when he claimed that the player is looking for a way out of the club. With his contract set to expire in 2022, the Red Devils were put in an uncomfortable position regarding their record signing.
While Pogba has not said anything regarding the same since he has in turn performed on the pitch with aplomb. His showings over the last couple of months have pushed United to finish second in the league and reach the Europa League final.
Real Madrid were recently knocked out of the Champions League as their midfield looked ragged against the likes of Kante. They could feel that a refresh is needed at this point and will consider a move for the enigmatic Frenchman in the summer.

Pogba has a little over a year left on his current United deal. While there is hope that he will renew his stay at Old Trafford, he is yet to sign the papers.
A player once disillusioned with the direction United were taking, Pogba appears to have renewed faith in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s leadership. Whether this is enough to see him commit his future to the club remains to be seen.
