Transfer News: Manchester United could sign these four players after Joel Glazer vow
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester may go after four players after Joel Glazer made a vow to invest in the squad. Co-owner Joel Glazer recently sent an open letter to the fans and pointed out certain things he has in plan.
The Manchester United Supporters Trust had presented the owners with a four-point plan and gave them until Friday to reply. It would appear that Joel Glazer has met the deadline.
He is keen to come up with an ambitious package of measures that will transform the relationship with fans and strengthen the club for the long term.
One of the key pointers from the letter was the promise to further invest in the squad.
“We have supported sustained investment in the team over many years, and that will continue this summer. We recognise that we will need to significantly increase investment in Old Trafford and our training complex to ensure that the club’s facilities remain among the best in Europe.
Our top priority is, and will always be, competing for the most important trophies, playing entertaining football with a team comprised of top-quality recruits and some of the world’s best homegrown talent.”
Based on that, there are a few targets that could actually be signed in the summer. The first name is that of Erling Haaland.
The Dortmund sensation has been on the radar for a while now and United could choose to go all out after the star striker. The second is that of Raphael Varane, who appears to be heading out of Real Madrid.
Another Dortmund star who is on the list is Jadon Sancho. The wide man was a target last summer and United could push again this time. Lastly, it might be one for winning the fans back.
Cristiano Ronaldo has pretty much always been linked with a return but with Juve enduring a tepid season, an exit has been mooted.

Quite who United sign next season is still unclear. The Glazers may have promised investment in the squad and other areas but that has rarely happened in a good way in the last few years.
Joel Glazer might have to pull off some very smart and essential transfers if he is to start repairing the relationship between his family and the fans.
