Paul Pogba insists Manchester United have a title-winning team
According to Evening Standard, Paul Pogba went ahead and claimed that Manchester United have a title-winning team. The enigmatic Frenchman fired a warning to our rivals for next season that United can go on to win the title.
Manchester United have given a good account of themselves in the league this season. From starting in the most disastrous fashion against Crystal Palace to climbing all the way to the top and currently second, it has been a journey of ups and downs.
The title is all but Manchester City’s unless there is a spectacular collapse. United are 10 points behind with five games to go. However, it has been a very positive season, unlike the last few seasons where they ended far away from being the champions.
While the regular stars such as Rashford, Fernandes, Maguire and Shaw have been there, Paul Pogba has shown that United are a world-class side with him. It was his absence in February that coincided with United dropping points in the title race and ultimately falling behind.
Nonetheless, he is fully fit and firing now to push United to the next level and fired a warning to all the title rivals that the club are now more of a title-winning side.
“We’re getting closer and closer,” he told BBC Football Focus. “We were struggling a little bit, we know that, but we don’t have to look back, we have to look forward. What is forward is that we’re getting closer to City.
They were, before, to be honest, way ahead of us, but now we’ve shown them that we can compete, we’re here and we have a team to go and win the title. It’s just a few details and we can do it, for sure.”

Pogba is right to claim as such given how United have played this season. While there has been the occasional rough patch, the side has looked much better compared to recent seasons.
With five games in the league left, United have to keep building momentum. After all, they could be set to play the Europa League final at the end of May.
