Manchester United tipped to use Jesse Lingard to sign Harry Kane and Jack Grealish
According to IB Times, Luke Chadwick wants Manchester United to use Jesse Lingard to sign Jack Grealish and Harry Kane. The former Manchester United player has urged the club to get a swap deal for Grealish using Lingard and also capitalize on Harry Kane’s situation at Spurs.
The 28-year-old joined West Ham United on loan last January. He has since enjoyed great success, turning into the lynchpin of the Hammers attack. With nine goals and four assists in just 11 games, the Englishman is tearing it up and silencing his detractors. His form has also seen him return to the England fold ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
Grealish has been the subject of interest from the Red Devils. However, Villa’s valuation of the player made sure that he could not be prised away easily. Chadwick feels that United can use Jesse Lingard in a swap deal to land the player.
“If that was possible, and Lingard gets to play week in, week out at a club like Aston Villa, and Man United can attract one of the best players in the league in Jack Grealish, who’s got a huge future in front of him, that could be a fantastic piece of business on both sides.”
Kane is yet to win a single team trophy with Spurs during his stay at the club. Spurs themselves haven’t won silverware since 2008 and his latest comments could point at him going elsewhere to team trophies.
He has a number of suitors across Europe, and United are one of them. Chadwick feels that United can take advantage of the situation and sign him.
“You look at the three players in world football who guarantee you goals, Kane, [Kylian] Mbappe or [Erling] Haaland, if you get any of those three, if any of them end up at United, Man City or Liverpool you’d fancy them to win the league next season.
Kane has done it week, in week out in the Premier League for years now and if United can get him they should do everything in their power to do so.”

If United can make all of this work, it would be a huge statement. Clearly, Lingard has no future at the club and might be better off at some other club. Using him to get Grealish is just good business. As for Kane, it will take a mammoth effort but it could well be worth it.
