According to Daily Mail, Jamie Carragher feels that Manchester United have been unfairly criticized this season. The Liverpool icon was of the opinion that United are not too far away from the Premier League title under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils are currently 10 points behind Manchester City in the league and barring some huge surprises, that will be the case come the end of the season. However, United have given a good effort this season and even topped the table for a brief period of time.

One of the biggest factors behind this run has been the away form. United are yet to lose a game away from Old Trafford this season. This run stretches way back to last season. They have lost the fewest games this season and also won against City.

Nonetheless, there have been some patches, especially back in February, where United have looked not quite great and criticism has gone Solskjaer’s way. Jamie Carragher came to the defence and spoke about the same.

“How much of a leap would it be for Man Utd to win the title next season? It would be a jump, of course it would be. But I actually think Man Utd get too much criticism for what they’re doing right now.

Man City are phenomenal – we’re talking about a team who were on the verge of doing the quadruple and could still do a treble. “
