Manchester United fans react after 6-2 mauling of AS Roma
AS Roma did give Manchester United a scare, but the Red Devils’ quality eventually shone through as they took a major step to the Europa League finals.
Paulo Fonseca admitted ahead of the game that he intends to attack United rather than sit back. He would have been better off doing the latter given that transpired.
Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for United before Lorenzo Pelligrini equalized from the spot. Edin Dzeko scored soon after to put the visitors up 2-1 at the break.
Whatever was said at the break did its job as United came out of the tunnel a changed team. A quickfire double from Edinson Cavani restored our lead before the trio of Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Fernandes added the finishing touches to a fine performance.
The game echoed sentiments of the 7-1 hammering we dished out to them back in 2007. It is fair to say that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men ended their semifinal curse in style.
We take a look at how United fans reacted to the result below.

Whatever it is Ole told the boys in the locker room at halftime is what we all need to hear to be a better version of ourselves.

After going 2-1 down it was slow and sluggish. Something was said at half time that switched every single one of them on. Ole deserves so much more credit than he gets

Having a striker type like Cavani means everything to this team. I’d like Sancho, but the ultimate signing would be Haaland. He’d be perfect for this team.

❌ To the idiots sitting in their bedrooms bait-tweeting negativity at half time, drink it up and enjoy your evening. 🤣🤣👍🏻
Fair play to Ole, a lot of us called for subs at half time but he stuck with it and it’s paid off. What a performance in that second half
