Manchester United will lock horns against Roma in the first leg of the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday night. Leading into the game there had been concerns over the availability of Rashford.
The England international has had some fitness problems for a while now. Rashford had picked up an ankle injury against Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month and has had to be managed carefully, given his importance to the team.
The young forward did not train last week ahead of our game against Leeds but featured against the Whites and played almost the entire game, raising concerns over whether he might exacerbate his problem.
Solskjaer, though, has eased such fears, insisting that the academy graduate is fully fit and available for selection on Thursday, as is Eric Bailly, who missed a string of games after contracting the coronavirus.
“They’re all fit and available, we didn’t lose anyone from the last game, which was good. It was a hard-fought game of course against Leeds, high intensity. We’re ready and we’ve had good preparation for the rest of the season.
“Both of them are available
.That’s good.We have managed Marcus and we have had to do it for quite a while. I feel he’s gone through the worst now. He’s available for selection tomorrow, he’s happy with the progress.“

That would mean only Anthony Martial and Phil Jones remain unavailable for selection when AS Roma come visiting.
Having a fit and firing Rashford is very much important if we are to go all the way in Europe this term. More so, considering that Bruno Fernandes has been going through an indifferent run of form.
