Four youngsters involved as Manchester United train ahead of AS Roma clash
According to the Manchester Evening News, four Manchester United youngsters were involved in the first-team training sessions ahead of the AS Roma encounter.
Manchester United will square off against Roma in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final on Thursday night at Old Trafford.
Having beaten Granada in the quarter-final, we set up a date against the Giallorossi, where we will encounter a number of familiar of faces such as ex-Man United stars in Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Chris Smalling as well as former Man City striker Edin Dzeko.
Having faltered at this stage of the competition last season, the team needs to ensure that such an occurence is avoided this time as well. And, ahead of the game, preparations were in full flow as the squad was put through the paces at the Carrington training complex.
Pictured during the training session were four promising youngsters, including Amad Diallo, who played a starring role for the U-23s in the win over Chelsea this past Friday.
Amad already has gotten a taste of European football this term, having scored a goal against AC Milan earlier in the competition.
Apart from the Ivorian, another youngster who featured during the training session was Shola Shoretire. The young attacker became United’s youngest ever European debutant when he came on in the Europa League draw with Real Sociedad back in February.
Anthony Elanga, who was added to the Europa League squad recently and was on the bench in the games against Granada was also put through his paces, as was Hannibal Mejbri.
