Fred reveals Manchester United mate Bruno Fernandes keeps talking about Raphinha
According to Metro, Manchester United midfielder Fred reveals that Bruno Fernandes keeps talking about Raphinha. The latter pair were teammates at Sporting CP before making their way to the Premier League in 2020.
They formed an excellent understanding en route to racking up 39 goals and 23 assists combined. The Brazilian winger joined Leeds last summer and has fit in well at Elland Road.
His performances have garnered the attention of United, who are keen to secure his services. Both players could, however, take the field against each other tomorrow.
United take on Leeds in a crunch Premier League clash at Elland Road on Sunday and Fred has revealed how Fernandes has kept talking about Raphinha and hyping him up.
‘Bruno’s been talking about Raphinha ever since he arrived. They played together at Sporting. He’s a great player having an amazing season and a lot of clubs have their eye on him. I met him recently, great guy, excellent player but… I hope he won’t be lining up against us!’
The Brazilian is a doubt for the game on Sunday as he recovers from an injury. The 24-year-old has done fantastically this season for Leeds and has been one of their chief threats. His eye for a pass, those tricks, flicks and dribbles, everything he has done, have managed to catch the eye.

In case he does feature, Manchester United will again get a good look at the player given that we are interested in bringing him to the club. For now, Raphinha is in the opposition camp and United will need to be wary of his threat and if the opportunity arises, they need to use the Fernandes connection to work a deal in their favour.
