Manchester United News: Mason Greenwood claims Bruno Fernandes always mentors him on the pitch
According to news from Express, Manchester United starlet Mason Greenwood claims that Bruno Fernandes mentors him on the field. Greenwood gave an insight as to how the talismanic Portuguese is always guiding him through the game whenever both of them are on the pitch.
Manchester United are in the final lap of their season and with such a topsy-turvy nature of this one, they will be looking to finish with a flourish. Amidst Manchester United’s recent five-game win streak in the league, there has been one man who has stepped up after a tepid start to the season.
Mason Greenwood was experiencing his sophomore season blues as he was failing to reach the heights of his debut season. His goals and assists had dried up to the point where he was no longer a regular starter. However, over the last few games, he has found his lost touch and is finding goals as well as assists with ease.
The academy graduate spoke out on how Bruno Fernandes mentors him while they are on the pitch.
“You’ve got the likes of Nemanja [Matic] who has won Premier Leagues with Chelsea, you’ve got Juan [Mata] who has played for many years.
You’ve got Bruno [Fernandes] in behind you in that 10 position and he’s always talking, always giving me tips on playing. You’ve got a lot of older players you can just watch and take note of.”

Greenwood added that no one can rest on their laurels as someone will step up and take their place. So everyone has to be at the top of their game. The youngster will be hoping to get a start against rivals Leeds United as the Red Devils look to keep their win streak going on.
