Manchester United fans unhappy with the club’s European Super League plans
Manchester United fans were in for a rude awakening when it was revealed on Sunday that the club has signed on for the European Super League.
The Red Devils join the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in committing to the competition. This has led to widespread condemnation from both UEFA and FA.
The likes of Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand and even Sir Alex Ferguson have expressed their distaste at the club’s actions. The decision does little to promote fair play and rakes in the money for the select few at the top of the footballing pyramid.
The Manchester United Supporters Trust also came out against the proposals and deemed them unacceptable and shocking.
Fans too have expressed their distaste, with many of them even threatening to walk away from supporting the club they have loved. Whether the Glazers will take cognizance of the mood remains to be seen.
We take a look at how some of the fans reacted on Twitter.
United fans livid as club announces Super League
Okay so if this superleague bullshit continues, i dont think i’ll he able to follow Manchester United the way i did all these years.

I will still follow PL and my next team will be Leicester City🦊
I feel like something died in me today. Joining the European super league means Manchester United have turned their back on our 100+ year history, the Busby Babes, the ’99 treble and everything great about this club. I won’t support United if this goes through. Fuck the Glazers.

I will never ever ever support or watch Manchester United in a European Super League. Absolutely insulting from the ‘Big 6’ towards every other club in this country. The premier league is the most competitive football product in the world. We shouldn’t jeopardise it’s future.

I will support Manchester United in the prem and UEFA competitions but never in the superleague.

1878 – 2021 RIP.
There are so many superlatives I could use to express my disgust and anger. Football the sport I fell in love with a a child is dead. #SuperLeague can Fuck Off I’m done.
Football is about fans. If they go through with this I will stop my support for my club, withdraw my membership, remove myself from all of my clubs social media. The fans of the #bigsix should do the same. The owners have lost touch with the fans.

Interesting to see if Ole has any UTD DNA left inside or just Woodwards arm?

Wanting Manchester United to break from more than 130 years of history to join a “European Super League” with Joel Glazer one of the Vice Chairmen is an assault on the club. These parasites need to be forcefully forced out of our club. They add nothing and take everything. #MUFC

This European Super League is NOT what Sir Matt’s vision for the future was. This is not who Manchester United are.

Qualification for a competition is to be earned. Not a right. I am ashamed of United’s name being dragged into this.
Make no mistake this is a GLAZER want.
