Amazon set to base new documentary series on Manchester United star Paul Pogba
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is a player who makes news both on and off the field, for both good and bad reasons.
Despite his undoubted talent and success on the field, his state of affairs off the pitch also present an interesting picture into the superstar’s life. There is no shortage of glory or drama and soon it will be up on the screen for all to see.
According to the Evening Standard, the United star has signed an agreement with Amazon to produce a documentary based on him.
The French Amazon Original series, named ‘The Pogmentary’, will offer a unique and intimate look at Pogba’s life. It is set for release on Amazon Prime in the United Kingdom next year.
The series will focus on key moments in the player’s career. It looks set to include moments such as his departure and return to United, and also the role he played in France’s 2018 World Cup triumph.
Not just a footballer!
Amazon have also promised to provide an insight into the 28-year-old’s life off the field. This will include interviews with family and friends, as well as previously unreleased footage from his childhood.
Georgia Brown, Head of European Originals, Amazon Studios is keen to showcase Pogba both as a player and as a person. Someone who divides opinion among the fans at times, here is a chance for the player himself to tell his version of the story.

Through the unprecedented access afforded to us, Prime Video will show the man behind the fame, delving into his life off the pitch and letting him tell his story in his own words.”

With Pogba currently set to enter the last year of his contract at United, there will be no shortage of drama.
