Solskjaer heaps praise on ever-improving Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Speaking to the press ahead of the clash (h/t Man Utd) against Brighton, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised the progress shown by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Englishman joined United from Crystal Palace in 2019 and has since established himself as the club’s first-choice right-back. He has made a name for himself as one of the best tacklers in his position and is often a solid player in defence.
Wan-Bissaka endured a difficult visit to the Amex earlier in the season and Brighton found much joy on his flank. Speaking about it, Solskjaer believes the player has since developed and is now better at what he does.
“I think he’s done remarkably well. His improvement has been there for everyone to see.”
While the Norwegian is not worried about his player’s defensive ability, he is also happy with the contributions the player has made in the attack.
Much more to come!
Truth be told, despite the improvement, there is much more expectation from Wan-Bissaka as an attacking full-back. Still just 23, he has a long way to go in his career and Solskjaer has no doubt that he will continue to improve.
“It’s still very early in his full-back career. I still think that we will see a lot of improvement from Aaron. We do see it in training and on the pitch as well, that’s for everyone to see.”
Wan Bissaka is a player who is an automatic starter for United when fit. The lack of a dependable backup is something the club needs to address in the summer.
Hopefully, the 23-year-old will go on to prove Solskjaer right and develop into a world-class player in the years to come.
