Superagent Mino Raiola flies into England to discuss Erling Haaland to Manchester United
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t Manchester Evening News), superagent Mino Raiola will jet into England to hold discussions with Manchester United regarding Erling Haaland.
The 20-year-old is one of the finest young players in world football and could be on the market next summer. This has led to a flurry of teams keen on securing a potential world-beater.
Raiola accompanied by the player’s father Alf-Inge Haaland caused much furore when they flew into Spain yesterday to talk to both Barcelona and Real Madrid.
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Haaland’s entourage are currently analyzing the offers and future plans from the top teams in the fray before making their decision.
The entourage is flying into England not just to talk to United. They are also set to talk with three other Premier League clubs namely Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The 20-year-old will cost an estimated €180million and will not come cheap. Given the current financial crisis, the asking price is bound to be a problem for a number of teams.
A phenomenon
Haaland has scored 49 goals in 49 Bundesliga games since joining Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg last year. He is also the fastest player in history to reach 20 Champions League goals, having managed it in just 14 matches. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
The youngster has previously played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the United manager’s stint at Molde. This previous affiliation appears to have done us little help in gaining an advantage in his pursuit.
