Manchester United ace Amad Diallo receives first Ivory Coast call-up
According to Daily Mail, Manchester United new boy Amad Diallo has been called up for the first time by Ivory Coast. The Ivorian has been called up to the side for the nation’s AFCON qualifiers against Niger and Ethiopia.
The 18-year-old joined United to much hype in January. He was signed from Atalanta and the deal was agreed in October last year but he only linked up with United in January. Straightaway, he was slotted into the U-23s and was allowed to acclimate to the surroundings.
He impressed in the Under-23s, earning a call-up to the senior side last month. Handed his debut against Real Sociedad in the first leg, Diallo showed good skill in the few minutes handed to him.
However, he did not have to wait long for his first goal and within a few weeks, he would be called up against AC Milan in the first leg. His instinctive run and flicked header looped over Donnarumma to give Manchester United a vital goal.
Since then, he has gotten regular substitute minutes but is still waiting for a start. His good work has not gone unnoticed as he has been handed his first call-up to the Ivory Coast squad for two important qualifiers.

Along with Diallo, Eric Bailly has also been called up. Several other Premier League stars such as Wilfried Zaha, Nicolas Pepe, Serge Aurier and Willy Boly have also been named for the games.
Diallo could be handed some game time for the national side given his form and that would only boost his confidence even further.
