Manchester United are hoping to curry favour with Mino Raiola ahead of a summer move for Erling Haaland
According to the Express, Manchester United have been plotting to make a move for Erling Haaland for some time now and are attempting to smoothen things over with his agent.
The Norwegian wonderkid is represented by superagent Mino Raiola. He also represents Paul Pogba and has had a frosty relationship with United in recent months.
Raiola is keen on getting his clients excellent deals and United are willing to keep Pogba happy in order to get on the agent’s good side.
The Frenchman has admittedly made our job easier thanks to improved performances since the turn of the year. He was pivotal in our charge up the Premier League table.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were top of the league in January but have fallen away since. It is no accident that Pogba was absent during this lean period.
Given how United have treated Pogba in recent months, even Raiola would struggle to find something to complain about.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also has chosen against retaliating to Raiola’s provocations in recent months. Instead, he has gone about quietly repairing the relationship with Pogba behind the scenes.
The Norwegian also managed Haaland during his time at Molde. The player must already have an impression of sorts of the United boss. A good word from Raiola will do us no harm either.

In Haaland, United will be getting a player they lack – an infallible scorer who can lead the line with aplomb. Playing nice with Raiola is a small price to pay for landing a potential world-beater.
