Predicted Manchester United XI to face AC Milan in the Europa League

Manchester United are set to face AC Milan in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16, with the tie evenly poised at 1-1 after the first leg. With Milan carrying an away goal going into the second leg, Solskjaer will have his task cut out against the Italian giants.

Manchester United conceded late in the first leg to hand Milan a slight advantage but considering how we have played this season so far, there’s certainly nothing to fear.

In a huge boost for Solskjaer, Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba have returned to training. Donny van de Beek too is back in training.

David De Gea is available after completing his mandatory isolation but Henderson is likely to continue in goal.

Probable Manchester United XI vs AC Milan

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Dean Henderson (GK)

The Englishman has deputised for United during De Gea’s absence and this could be a huge game for him considering the Spaniard could well make his comeback this weekend.

Can Dean Henderson become Manchester United's Number One and replace David De Gea?

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

Wan-Bissaka is a sure starter for Solskjaer and he’ll have a crucial role to play in stopping the dangerous Milan attackers.

Harry Maguire (CB)

The United captain missed a sitter in the first leg and will be hoping to make amends this time around.

Eric Bailly (CB)

Bailly played the full 90 minutes against Milan in the first leg and should continue to partner Maguire in this fixture too. Should have his hands full dealing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Alex Telles - Player profile 20/21 | Transfermarkt

Alex Telles (LB)

Telles too should deputise for the phenomenal Luke Shaw as United look to keep a clean sheet.

Fred (CM)

The Brazilian can be a fantastic asset on his day and he should start alongside McTominay.

Scott McTominay (CM)

Given the talent that this guy possesses, it would be a mistake to not start him in a game as crucial as this. What a player!

Marcus Rashford (LW)

Rashford is an easy pick considering the magnitude of this game.

Mason Greenwood (RW)

The youngster hasn’t hit the form he showed last season but he could start once again against AC Milan.

Bruno Fernandes (CAM)

This guy needs no introduction. A sure starter, he will be crucial to United’s chances of progressing to the next round.

Manchester United may have already found the 'next Bruno Fernandes'

Edinson Cavani (ST)

The Uruguayan veteran should start if available and his experience could be handy in a crunch game like this.
