Manchester United set to go after Eduardo Camavinga if Pogba leaves
According to Express, Manchester United could turn to Eduardo Camavinga should Paul Pogba depart the club next season. Despite new reports claiming that Pogba wants to stay, United have kept contingency plans in place if Pogba were to leave the club.
Pogba has always dominated headlines with his occasional admittance that he wants to play for Real Madrid someday. His agent, Mino Raiola, has also never shied away from dropping transfer hints, the latest of which came last year saying that his client would be leaving in January.
However, now it is being said that the World Cup winner is open to the possibility of extending his stay at the club and starting talks over a new contract.
Pogba was a vital part of the side that had climbed up to the top of the league. His absence due to injury is being felt by Solskjaer, with the side dropping points on a regular basis last month.
However, United have identified Rennes sensation Eduardo Camavinga as a replacement in case Pogba does leave the club. The 18-year-old is one of the best young midfielders in European football.
Not only is he a regular for Rennes but also made his bow for the French senior side. Camavinga’s ability to do so for the world champions is a testament to his potential. He has so far made two appearances for Les Belus, scoring one goal.

Camavinga’s potential has seen him being touted as the successor of Paul Pogba both at the club and country level. However, a figure of around £50million could be demanded by the French club for the coveted youngster who is also being tracked by Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Camavinga is an enticing prospect given his ability to perform while also being one for the future.
