Eric Bailly spoke to Solskjaer about Manchester United new boy Amad Diallo
According to Sky Sports (h/t Metro), Eric Bailly gave a glowing assessment of Amad Diallo to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before the youngster joined the club. Diallo was signed by United in October last year but only linked up with the side in January.
The Ivorian youngster even managed to score his first ever goal for the club recently against AC Milan. His compatriot Eric Bailly has always been a huge supporter of the youngster as he endorsed Diallo in the best way to Solskjaer.
‘I knew him before and I remember when manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talked to me about the guy. I know the guy, he’s very humble. He’s quiet, he doesn’t speak a lot.
For me, I didn’t think twice. I said to the boss, ‘yes, he’s a good guy, he’s got the talent’. Just keep him and everyone will enjoy him for his talent. I do everything for him… agent, big brother! It’s okay, I’m happy for him.’
Diallo is likely to feature on a more regular basis after his exploits in the last game. Add to that Cavani and Rashford being out with injuries and Diallo will have the perfect opportunity to display his talent and build on the fantastic goal he scored.

It is good that Eric Bailly is acting as a mentor and supporter for Diallo. He is young and needs a familiar face to back him. It is often daunting for such young players to play for such a huge club in a different country. Bailly was seen jumping on the huddle as other players huddled around Diallo after his goal.
