Manchester United keeping tabs on Chelsea star Christian Pulisic
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are among a host of clubs keeping close tabs on Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.
The American international enjoyed an excellent debut season at Stamford Bridge in 2019/20. Injuries notwithstanding, he was arguably the club’s best player that season.
But the 22-year-old has failed to garner much playtime under new manager Thomas Tuchel. The German admitted after yesterday’s game that he had not given the American a chance to impress.
Pulisic is a player Tuchel is well acquainted with, having given him his breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund. However, he appears hesitant to use him at Stamford Bridge.
The likes of Mason Mount, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech have all got their opportunities. Pulisic is yet to start a single Premier League game under Tuchel.
Speaking on the topic, Tuchel revealed that Pulisic will have to be patient. Whether the player is willing to do that is debatable.
He spent the better part of a season playing himself into contention under Frank Lampard. The prospect of starting from scratch under Tuchel does not appear to be something the American would relish.
With the summer transfer window fast approaching, the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on the player. It promises to be an intriguing few months.

Former Manchester United scout Jorge Alvial revealed last year that the club refused to follow up on his recommendation to sign Pulisic while he was still at Dortmund. He could very well be vindicated if the club does indeed end up signing him this summer.
Signing Pulisic could also further boost United’s profile in the United States. Owned by Americans, having a local superstar in the fray would clearly be an appealing prospect.
