Manchester United to scout Hakan Calhanoglu in AC Milan game

According to Express, Manchester United could get the chance to scout Hakan Calhanoglu when they face AC Milan. The Red Devils were drawn with Milan in the Europa League Round of 16 draw, the games scheduled on March 11th and 18th.

And, they could try to get a look at reported transfer target Hakan Calhanoglu when they square off in those two games. The AC Milan star is out of contract at the end of this season and that has fanned speculation about his future.

While United do have a certain Bruno Fernandes in attacking midfield, the club are still interested in the Turkish playmaker given he will be a free signing. Only his wages and other bonuses would cost.

Calhanoglu primarily plays through the middle but likes to drift out wide and create chances. He also has a decent record of scoring goals for the Italian giants. He has a similar style to how Fernandes operates with those risky forward passes and a penchant for the audacious.

AC Milan chiefs are keen on keeping him and it will likely be hard to prise him away from the club given how impactful of a player he is. Calhanoglu is currently free to sign a pre-contract with any side and his displays against United could go a long way in convincing the club to sign him.
