Manchester United inform interested parties what it will take to sign Dean Henderson
According to Manchester Evening News (h/t The Express), Manchester United have informed interested parties (which includes Chelsea and Tottenham) what it will take for them to sign Dean Henderson in the summer.
One of the best young keepers in the league, the 23-year-old’s path to the first-team has been blocked by current No.1 David de Gea. The Spaniard has been in goal for United the last ten years and has largely relegated Henderson to the bench this season.
The Englishman was expected to challenge De Gea for a starting sport since returning to Old Trafford last summer. While he has had his chances, the Spaniard has had a disproportionate advantage when it comes to opportunities.
Henderson is clearly frustrated by his situation and is keen to not go through the same experience next season. He has now put the ball in the club’s court by giving them an ultimatum regarding his future. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Henderson that his time will come, the player is not willing to stick around and play second fiddle. He has already conveyed his displeasure to the Norwegian about the lack of game time.
As a player yet to enter his prime, Henderson has courted interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League. They could land the player for as little as £40million this summer.
Suitors aplenty!
The likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and West Ham United are all interested in the player. However, a permanent deal could prove difficult given the current financial climate. (h/t MEN)
Unlike at United, the other three clubs could all do with Henderson in goal. Whether the Red Devils will sell him to a direct rival remains to be seen.

The very notion of the club placing an asking price could be a hint of Henderson’s impending departure. An excellent prospect, he could very well prove to be the future of the club in goal.
However, he does not appear to be willing to wait that long and the club has a big call to make next summer.
