Manchester United target Jadon Sancho inching towards Borussia Dortmund exit
According to Sky Sports Germany (h/t The Sun), long-term Manchester United target Jadon Sancho looks to be on his way out of Borussia Dortmund next summer.
The Bundesliga giants have massively underachieved this season and are currently struggling in sixth spot. They are 16 points off the top and are four adrift of the Champions League spots.
Sancho has made 26 appearances this season, scoring 8 goals and assisting 13 more. While his numbers are impressive, it has receded with respect to what he achieved last season. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The 20-year-old has been on United’s radar for some time now. He was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last season but a deal came to nothing.
A major sticking point was Dortmund’s massive £108million asking price. Dortmund stood firm on the number last summer but are ready to lower it this time around.
According to German source WAZ (h/t The Sun), this could be a season of change at the German giants, with up to eight players set to leave the club.
Dortmund could be forced to sell their prized assets and recoup what they can following the financial devastation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Amongst those on the way out is another United target, Erling Haaland. Both players will, however, command much attention and United will have a fight on their hands to land either player, let alone both.
