Manchester United XI to take on Fulham

Manchester United will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Fulham on Wednesday.

The Red Devils endured a frustrating night against Liverpool at Anfield on the weekend. Although bested for large periods of the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side missed a number of golden opportunities to come away with a win.

With an in-form Manchester City hot on our trail, it is imperative that we get all three points at Craven Cottage. Scott Parker’s side is well-drilled and can cause us problems if we let them.

They have so far secured a point at home against Liverpool and ran Chelsea close at the weekend. United can not afford to get their guards down.

With us set to face Liverpool again at the weekend, this time in the FA Cup, Ole Gunnar Solskajer may ring in the changes.

Team News

Brandon Williams, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are all not fit to take the field for United. Given their standing in the squad, they are unlikely to be missed.

With the FA Cup clash against Liverpool to come, United could ring in the changes for the fixture. Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles, Eric Bailly, Mason Greenwood, and Nemanja Matic are among those in contention for a return.

Manchester United XI to face Fulham (Predicted)

Formation (4-2-3-1)

David de Gea

An automatic starter when fit. A no-brainer.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

With Brandon Williams out injured, Aaron Wan-Bissaka looks set to continue at right-back.

Eric Bailly

The Ivory Coast international has built up an excellent rapport with Harry Maguire in defence. He was dropped to the bench for our trip to Anfield and looks set to return against Fulham.

Harry Maguire

The skipper. Was excellent against Liverpool. Will look to keep his good run going.

Alex Telles

The Brazilian also started the trip to Anfield on the bench. Competent at both ends of the pitch, his inclusion will give the impressive Luke Shaw a well-deserved rest.

Nemanja Matic

With Fred and Scot McTominay having endured a combative weekend, Matic would be in line to make a return to the lineup.

Paul Pogba

Back in his familiar central midfield, Pogba will hope to do better this time around. The Frenchman has usually been preferred alongside Nemanja Matic and that looks set to continue.

Bruno Fernandes

The Portuguese endured a forgettable night out against Liverpool. He was taken off late on much to his frustration and will look to make amends this time around.

Marcus Rashford

Rashford, too, had a largely quiet game at Anfield. Hopefully, he will time his runs better this time so as to avoid the offside trap.

Mason Greenwood

Came on late on for Fernandes against Liverpool. Should be a surprise if he isn’t brought back to the playing XI.

Edinson Cavani

Another player who started on the bench against Liverpool. In better nick than Anthony Martial and should get the nod against the Cottagers. More so with Alex Telles present to drill in the crosses, his aerial prowess could be harnessed with much effect.
