Manchester United hope Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Alex Telles return against West Bromwich Albion
According to the Express, Manchester United are hopeful that a trio of their key players will be available for this weekend’s clash against West Bromwich Albion.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Alex Telles, and Mason Greenwood are all coming off a spell on the sidelines.
Greenwood and Rashford did not take part in any of England’s fixtures while Telles has been cleared to face Edinson Cavani’s Uruguay.
Rashford suffered a late shoulder injury during our 3-1 win away to Everton at Goodison Park. He was named in the England squad by Gareth Southgate, but had to pull out.
The club’s leading scorer this season, Rashford has been instrumental as we look to improve upon a bad start to the season.
His injury is not believed to be serious and he is expected to be in the reckoning to face the Baggies.
Greenwood missed the game against Everton due to illness. He was not picked for England either, meaning he has had time to recover during the two weeks off.
It would appear that United were keen to take the youngster out of the spotlight owing to both injuries and off the field controversies. He too is expected to feature this weekend.
Time to make the spot his own!
Telles meanwhile has made just one appearance for the club since joining us on deadline day. The outing at the Parc des Princes saw him showcase his ability in an impressive 2-1 win against PSG.
He has since been sidelined after testing positive for coronavirus. Telles tested positive after linking up with the Brazil squad. He has however since been cleared to face Uruguay and subsequently West Brom.
It should come as welcome news to United, who have been monitoring the situation. With Luke Shaw out injured, Telles has the chance to stake a claim on the left-back spot.
