Celtic keen to loan Manchester United star, Dean Henderson
According to The Express, Celtic are ready to take Manchester United star Dean Henderson on loan in January.
The young Englishman returned to United last summer after a stellar couple of years on loan at Sheffield United. A promising player, United managed to tie him down to a new contract upon his return.
It was expected that the club would make a choice between Henderson and David de Gea going into the season. However, we chose to keep both of them in contention.
De Gea is the number one at the club. The Spaniard has looked better this season and is steadily closing in on his best.
This has seen Henderson limited to playing cup competitions. In fact, he is yet to feature for United in the Premier League this campaign.
The lack of regular game time has also impacted his chances of taking the number one spot for England. Gareth Southgate has informed Henderson that he needs to move in order to make him his top choice in goal.
A move away on loan to Celtic could be an option for the player. The Scottish giants could make a play to land him this January as they look to win 10 league titles on the spin.
Currently trailing Rangers by nine points, Celtic have two games in hand. It is fair to say that this is the biggest challenge they have faced in quite some time.
With De Gea looking undroppable, Henderson’s best chances of regular game time at this moment in time could lie away from Old Trafford.

The fact that an error-prone Jordan Pickford was picked to face Belgium showcases Henderson needs to do more to cement himself as the starting goalkeeper.
Whether Henderson is willing to join Celtic when the window opens remains to be seen.
