Facundo Pellistri impresses for the under 23 side on his debut
Manchester United new boy Facundo Pellistri has drawn attention from fans after an impressive debut for the under-23 side.
While he did not set the field alight, a few moments of brilliance showcased what he is capable of once he develops.
According to The Express, Pellistri is set to join up with the senior side in the coming weeks. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed earlier in the day that the teenager is still adjusting to life in England and is working on his fitness.
Two major traits that came to attention in the Under-23 clash against Everton. One is his fine first touch and the other his ability to draw fouls.
He showcased enough in the first half-hour of the match to bring both the qualities to the fore.
It was not all sunshine and rainbows, however. He did have patches where he was quiet. But he remained vocal and even went close to scoring.
There is still some way to go before he can make an impact in the first-team. However, the introduction to life to English football has seen him take the bull by the horns and give a decent audition.
His outing has convinced a few fans to urge Solskjaer to give him a chance in the first-team.
Pellistri was a surprise signing for United when he joined the club on transfer deadline day. The teenage winger cost roughly £9million and is one to watch for the future.
