Twitter reacts as Manchester United trigger Paul Pogba contract extension
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have triggered a one-year extension on the contract of ace midfielder Paul Pogba.
This will see the French international’s stay at Old Trafford extend until the summer of 2022.
Brought in from Juventus in 2016, Pogba has failed to reach the levels expected of him at United. In fact, the Frenchman’s match-winning performances have been few and far between.
He did himself no favours by admitting it would be a dream come true to play for Real Madrid.
Pogba currently had a year to go before his current contract expired. Given the precarious situation of losing such a player for free, United’s decision was perhaps inevitable.
This should help preserve the player’s value going into next summer. A number of fans took to Twitter to react to the news. We take a look at a few of them below.

Just get rid of him and play someone who actually wants to wear the shirt and play for the shirt !

Basically confirms he dosent want to stay if not he would’ve agreed a long term contract

Doesn’t it just mean that they can get money for him now and he can’t talk to other clubs in January@and go on a free next summer!

An extra 12 months at a club he doesn’t want to play for. He must be over the moon.

Good. United will get a decent transfer fee for him in the summer.

At least now we’ll get some money for him, although he’ll have to start playing better if he wants any other club to look at him

His ‘dream’ of going to Madrid will have to wait for a while, I’m sure he’s delighted!!
