Twitter reacts as Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire sees red for England
It just gets worser for Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire. The defender has enjoyed a difficult summer.
He was embroiled in off-field problems and has failed to impress on the pitch as well. It hardly improved against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League clash.
The 27-year-old was sent off after just 30 minutes after he picked up a second yellow.
As a senior player who also captains one of the biggest names in world football, Maguire should be able to manage a game better.
Maguire deserves some time away from the limelight and could do with a break. At the very least, him getting sent off will ensure he is that much fresher to face Newcastle United at the weekend.
The Englishman hasn’t been in great form of late and hopefully, he manages to turn things around quickly as the team’s results hinge a lot on the performance of the defender.
We take a look at how fans reacted to the news on Twitter.

Tragic red card for Harry Maguire. Terrible first touch under hardly any pressure, loses the ball, gets the man and now he’s off. On & off the pitch, the bloke can’t catch a break at the minute.

I feel sorry for him. I feel he struggles with personal issues. His head has not been where it should after that greece incident..

He’s ruined…could be one of these players that doesn’t recover from the setbacks he’s had last couple months

There’s something going on there. He’s not carrying himself like the players from Leicester or even the World Cup.

May be biased as a United fan, but you’ve gotta feel for the bloke. Been a shit few months for him.
