Reliable journalist confirms Jadon Sancho wanted Manchester United switch

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Jadon Sancho had his heart set on a move to Manchester United.

The English wonderkid had emerged as United’s primary target this summer. However, with just days to go before the window closes, the club are no nearer to getting him.

Dortmund have held firm on their asking price for the 20-year-old. There are no signs of them settling for anything less.

Ed Woodward had taken a wait and watch approach in the hopes of the Germans caving in as the window nears its end. It would appear his faith was very misguided.

According to Romano, Sancho had already agreed to personal terms with United in July. Given that we are now in October, questions have to be asked as to why we have been unable to sign him.

Solskjaer knows Manchester United are little time to sign Jadon Sancho

The player to his credit will also not be throwing a fuss looking to force Dortmund’s hand. He seems to respect the club’s decision, much to United’s loss.

Landing Sancho would not only have given Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the right-winger he craved for but also a potential world-beater.

Nothing short of a statement signing, securing Sancho would have proved once again that United have the pull to land the biggest names in world football.

Solskjaer is aware that with the window nearing closure, his chances of securing Sancho are fast fading.

United have had a miserable summer so far. It remains to be seen whether anything can be salvaged in the final moments.
