Lucien Favre confirms Jadon Sancho will stay at Borussia Dortmund
As reported by the Daily Mail, Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has confirmed that Jadon Sancho will be staying put at the club amidst Manchester United interest.
It is no secret that Manchester United are interested in signing Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are keen on recruiting a new winger, with the 20-year-old emerging as the club’s top target. (h/t Daily Mail)
However, negotiations with the German giants haven’t gone according to plans for United, with Dortmund holding out for a transfer fee of £108m for his services.
With the German Bundesliga starting soon, Favre has claimed that there is no way the England international will be allowed to leave the club this summer. (h/t Daily Mail)
“We need him, no question. Everyone was happy that he stayed.”
Having been way too reliant on the attacking trident of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, United need to add more quality and depth to the frontline.
Sancho, who had an explosive 2019/20 campaign with Dortmund, would have been the ideal signing as the club looked to take the next step and challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

To date, Donny van de Beek is the only major signing that the club has made. With just three weeks left for the transfer window to slam shut, Manchester United need to ramp up their activities.
