Manchester United and Leeds to battle for Arsenal’s Sam Greenwood
According to the Express, Arsenal have set an asking price for teenage forward Sam Greenwood, who is on the radar of Manchester United and Leeds United.
The 18-year-old Greenwood, unrelated to our own Mason, joined the Gunners two years ago from Sunderland. He has flourished in their youth ranks, scoring 15 goals and providing 6 assists in 39 appearances for the Arsenal U18s. (h/t Transfermarkt)
This saw him get an early promotion to Arsenal’s reserves, for whom he has made seven appearances till date, scoring a solitary goal. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Greenwood’s immense potential has seen him attract interest from Manchester United. And it seems like Arsenal are resigned to losing him this summer, as they shake up their youth options. (h/t Express)
To that end, the North London outfit have set demands of an initial transfer fee of £1.5m, which would rise to £3m with add-ons. (h/t Express)
We are not alone in the race to sign Greenwood though, with arch-rivals Leeds United, who are back in the Premier League after 16 years, are also keen on the teenager. (h/t Express)
Apart from Manchester United and Leeds, Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are also keeping tabs on Sam Greenwood. (h/t Express)

Sam Greenwood has demonstrated immense potential in his youth career so far. And adding him to our ranks and seeing him flourish at Old Trafford would be a pleasing sight.
We have already brought in Marc Jurado and Isak Hansen-Aaroen to strengthen our future prospects. It is good to see that the club’s continued focus on bolstering the youth setup.
However, Ed Woodward & co. must not lose sight of the investment needed at the first-team level as we look to return to the top of the pile.
