Chris Smalling in demand in England, France and Italy
According to 90min.com (h/t Mirror), Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is a man in demand this summer window, with interest coming from England, France and Italy.
Smalling has been with Manchester United since 2010, having joined from Fulham. The 30-year-old has been a first-team regular for a vast majority of his time at Old Trafford. However, last season saw him leave the club on loan following the arrival of Harry Maguire.
Having joined Italian outfit AS Roma, the England international made a huge impression, emerging as one of the best defenders in Serie A. Now back at Manchester United, interest in the centre-back has sky-rocketed, with a host of clubs lining up to sign him. (h/t Mirror)
Roma are keen on signing him on a permanent transfer after being impressed by his performances in the 2019/20 season. However, they now face competition from fellow Serie A sides Atalanta and Inter Milan to sign the Englishman. (h/t Mirror)
Apart from the three Serie A clubs, Smalling is courting a lot of interest from within the Premier League as well. Former club Fulham, back in the top-flight, are interested, so are Newcastle United, Everton and West Ham United. (h/t Mirror)
In addition, Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco, too are keeping tabs on the Manchester United veteran defender. (h/t Mirror)

Smalling, in spite of his impressive displays last season, is unlikely to have a future at Manchester United. So it is only a matter of time before he secures an exit from Old Trafford.
It is claimed that he wants a return to Roma this summer. But it remains to be seen where the 30-year-old ends up.
