Jadon Sancho responds to Manchester United transfer links
According to Sportbible (h/t Metro), Jadon Sancho has responded to the latest speculation regarding him with a move to Manchester United.
The 20-year-old has emerged as the club’s top transfer target this summer. Dortmund are insistent that their star winger will not be sold.
However, United remain confident that a £100m bid should be enough to convince the Germans to reconsider. The player himself is also keen to return to England. He had earlier spent time at Watford and Manchester City.
Despite the persistent links, Sancho admits that he is ignoring talk of a move to Old Trafford. He believes it is easy to get carried away with the media speculation that in perpetuated by the media.
Sancho is adamant that his focus however remains on performing on the pitch and in training. The youngster is keen to cut out the clutter and focus on the only performance that matters – the one on the pitch.
“I don’t really look at all the noise and all that stuff. I’d rather keep my head down, keep focus and improve every day.”
Now or never?
The youngster made his way to Germany in 2017. It proved to be an inspired decision as he continues to go from strength to strength at Dortmund.
One of the finest young players in world football, he has the potential to go on and become a world-beater. Snapping up a player of Sancho’s calibre this summer would be a coup for United.
The opportunity to sign a player of Sancho’s calibre does not come often and United should not dismiss it out of hand. Given his age and talent, Sancho can become the mainstay of the United side for years to come.
With the Premier League season nearing, the Red Devils will have to make a call on their transfer dealings. With just over four weeks left for our first fixture, United are yet to sign a player this summer.
